Description

It was the week that Kennedy and Krushev played a little atomic poker game we called "The Cuban Missle Crisis." I had been out of the USAF for two years, going to college. But four days earlier, I received some new orders from the Air Force: I was being recalled to active duty from the inactive reserves. Two days before I was to report for duty, my finance of nearly two years and I decided to relax by going to a movie. Alfred Hitchcock was always intertaining, so we went to his latest, a little movie called "Psycho." We came out of the Fox Theater ashen-faced and stone cold sober. I don't think movies were ever the same after that one. Anyway, since Sam's 3d had this wonderful freebie model of the house and stairs, I thought I'd do a little tribute to that movie. Enjoy--if you can!!! Grin. Oh yeah, I almost forgot! I lucked out. The next day, I received orders from the Air Force recinding my first set of orders and I remained in the inactive reserve and in college. As always, thanks for looking and making comments. Both are appreciated. Jeremy House and stairway: Sam's3D. Atmosphere: "The Howling" by Heidi McClure. Ecosystem: "Brown Bracken" from "Ferns" collection. Sorry, don't remember who created it. Trees and shrubs: "Gnarly Dead Things" collection of plants from Vue 6.

Yeah, I remember that one - scared me to death first time I saw it! BTW, my dad was a pilot in a reconnaiscence unit at that time and flew a Canberra fitted with that era's version of electronic sampling gear about 300ft off the deck over Cuba! They needed to know what radar and radio frequenceies were being used... Wonderful scene and thanks for the memories!

Scary movies have changed, younger actors that scream a lot instead of actually acting. LOL. I remember the cuban scenario well ... I spent over 30 days in a very deep hole in europe, compiling the Top secret updates to the big sitrep board, and reports of what the soviet sub crews had for meals. grin.
