Description

As I was driving around on the dirt roads I spotted this dilapidated ruin and wind mill. The place was abandoned but the water was sweet and good. I wondered how many families lived here and shared love, joy and also tears.

A beautiful foto, the sky is alive and thinking about who might have lived there adds to its beauty!!

I look at this with its dramatic colors and the subtle movement created through image and I can hear a voice say, time moves slowly but it always moves on... I find the low light to accent that sky nicely and getting only the suggestion of the house works well since the viewer can only get a suggestion of what life and its history has been...

MMM this looks just like a place somewhere on my Grand Dad's ranch in Texas ... Love it...reminds me of home. Texas that is and the fire in the sky ... Beautiful Capture!

Stark amber effects and deep silhouetting permeate this fantastic shot of a virtually complete sunset, Piet!

I almost wish I hadn't read the title nor the caption, as the picture is almost too beautiful and lovely to think about what it may have led to or been the consequence of.... a tremendous image, albeit, with terrific lighting, and such an inspiring and motivational mood and atmosphere.... fire in the sky has never looked so beautiful...... excellent and masterful artwork Piet, although my thoughts and prayers are with those who may not take too kindly to the situation/issue.
