Description

Alpha, a planet much like Earth, was colonized in 3024. It derives its name from the Greek, meaning 'beginning.' Cities and settlements are referred to as 'sectors.' Being much like Earth in atmosphere and plant life, it is also much like Earth in another way: seismic and volcanic activity. How ever predictable these two forces may or may not be, no one could foresee what was about to happen here in Sector XII. The entire top half of the volcanic peak literally collapsed with such fury during an eruption that it sent wave after wave of pyroclastic flows streaming down its hillsides covering everything in its path. Yes, even on other worlds, disasters happen such as here on Earth. Some, with even more catastrophic force than ever imagined. Enjoy and thanks for viewing and commenting. Ah, Keith, back to Sci-Fi- excellent! Some of those structures look a bit phallic to me- or maybe, the alien women of Sector X11 were enormous and very tall, and kept dropping their lipsticks out of their handbags? (purses in the USA - no translators necessary.) A great render and narrative to go with it!

Great to see another sci-fi render from you Keith ... you do them so well. Excellent lava terrain work and I like the way the buildings and remnants are strewn across the devestated landscape. The eerie atmosphere adds greatly to the air of desolation. Tpoy.

Nice story and implementatio of the image with it. I like all the mats except for the archetecial ellments - basicly because they do not look like they juse survived the scorching heat and disruption you have described.
