not bad for a first try.. This is a very promising scene if u keep working on it.. First off, I would render a bigger picture so u can see the details a lot better.. 2nd, play w/ the material edits in more depth w/ each object, for example the spec & highlight levels, esp, the bump/displacement maps.. These will give each object more depth and more of a life like feeling to them... Thus removing the flatness to it.. The lighting will and always be one of the hardest things to do and to get just right.. So I would suggest getting all of the textures down just right cuz that would also change the lighting factor.. PS, the couch on the left is not/does not look like it is sitting on the floor.. =~) hope this helps.. Keep on rendering.. Beltazar AKA Rockdog DSA.... if u have any questions feel free to ask..
