Description
One of my few abstracts. There are figures in there too. I actually tore the canvas and did some sewing. There's sand and pine needles in the primer. Acrylic 24X36"

Oddly enough, this may be one of the most evocative and aesthetically mature images in your gallery to date. Reminiscent of the groundbreaking cinematic effort from the great avant-garde filmmaker, Stan Brakhage, in Mothlight (1963). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mothlight http://www.fredcamper.com/Film/BrakhageS.html#Mothlight But then, what the fuck do I know? I’m no art critic. Perhaps a wanna be. Anyway, a bold and courageous experiment. I love it! Apologies for my verbosity.

Love this one! Reminds me of a Paleolithic cave wall painting. The ripping seems to be an attack upon the idea of the canvas. The ripped holes look like mouths to me. Strange and wonderful.
