The japanese zero was more agile but ususally better training and heavier weapons combined to a better armor where the key factor that made p38's win in the pacific.

Examining this in full screen gives a supurb appreciation of how well this is done even from the point of view that the planes are flying with thier wing men and not just pell mell all over the place. Kudos!

At first I wondered if it was overcrowded but nope you've got it just right. Fullscreen is a must to really appreciate it. Very well done.

Yes the forktails are definitely P38's, but the others don't look like Zero's or Zekes. Are they Nakajima KI-84 Storms? Guessing they are based on top port on engine cowling, chin cooler, 4-blade prop, wing config and "land based" color scheme. Fabulous action, scrupulous attention to detail - GREAT action scene!
