Description

This image was just an excuse to try something in Vue that I don't remember having seen in another Vue image. Most probably it was done, I just didn't see it. I'm talking about the translucency on the top of the waves that is commonly seen in reality but even more so in classic 2D paintings. I wanted to try it in Vue. It took me 2 or 3 hours until I got it just the way I wanted it. I like the final result, I hope you do to. The only postwork in this image is some of the occasional foam. Oh, and don't forget to zoom in to see the poor fellow... Thanks for watching! EDIT: I created a thread in the Vue forum with the most important pointers to get this effect, if anyone's interested.

Really awesome! I've done waves in Bryce, but haven't tried it in Vue yet. Wow, just great, I love the translucency of the top of the waves, just perfect!

Beautifully done! I love the color of the water and the way you've made the waves look huge. It really makes his situation seem desperate.

Excellent work, Artur. This is definitely the best sea that I have seen in VUE. You always surprise your viewers. Thanks. Warm regards, from an overheating PC, John.
