Yes, the vegetation is all "feathering out" so the seeds can float away and take their chances. Lovely sign of the times.

Oh how beautiful Dear Gun! This is wonderful in black and white, catches the drams so much better. I am even more anxious now to get out to the Hollow with my camera.

Beautiful work! I had the same feeling the other evening when walking my Sheela; it's still warm, and obviously still summer, but it somehow just feels that autumn isn't far off -- for which I'm very happy!

gun, there's a painting by van Gogh, "Wheat Fields" (something like that). He did several, but an early one comes to mind. Few captured the music of wheat and chaff as he did. And now you captured it in your own unique way. This isn't wheat, but it's grasses & flowers & plants, and they make a beautiful music, they sway like Mozart or Bach. Your black & white is luminous, you emphasize the inner life of the plants as if they had great light inside. And the lower level—all matted down grasses etc.—is a beautiful bed for it all. A beautiful Gun treatment of a country scene. It's magic.
