Our newly arrived heroine makes a visit to the ice caves before the sun drops below the horizon to signal the start of the long winter.... This one started out as an excuse to render a quick model I created in Xenodream, but soon evolved in other directions. The Xenodream model got relegated to the bit of cave roof at the top right but it inspired me to play with sub surface scattering and to create the icicles in Vue to try this out. Then came the atmosphere and then the rest of the image followed on from that :-) There is only one Renderosity credit (see below); other material comes from Cornucopia (the base and the trees) and run time DNA (Miette's outfit which is "Snowbunny" by Littlefox, re-textured by me in Vue). Everything else is my own work.
