Description

This plant is growing on my balcony.. I thought they were very soft peppers, so I did some of them in my salad....but..oh... they turned out to be the hottest peppers I have ever tasted... so.. no salad yesterday... I had to cool down the whole evening *lol* juliette

Nooit geweten dat pepers zulke prachtige bloemen hadden. Schitterende opname! (Je hoeft in ieder geval voorlopig geen sambal te kopen!)

Funny story--although I'm sure it wasn't funny at the time. Great shot. Love that curvaceous stem.

What a lovely and delicate flower for something that turns out to be so hot and spicy! Very pretty.

Excellent close-up! These are dangerous peppers, the datils. In general, the smaller the pepper, the hotter, and never eat the seeds if you're not sure. Also, milk or sour cream will dissolve the oils in your mouth if you need the first aid. Datils are similar to habaneros but have a sweeter, fruitier flavor. Their level of spiciness may be anywhere from 100,000 to 300,000 scoville units, says the Wikipedia. Yikes!!! That is truly deadly.
