Description

I went back to the place I shoot the photos of the planting of the sugar cane and it was late as the shadows was long. The shadows is comeing from trees across the road and on the field. I wish to ge the moon in the shot too so here it is. have a lovely Sunday. Remember there a time to plant and a time to harvest. The cane you see in the background will be harvest from Oct. to Dec. I not sure how the fields that is harvest get the cane back in the fields for I see them full every year. I know it time to plant now.. In front of the mill you see the top of a old bridge I have posted the bridge a long time ago like last year; with smoke comeing out the chimmey

The long shadows from the trees, make the soil look like it was burnt, but only happens at harvest time. Neat evening capture ! ~Cheers~

Great capture, Jock. Yet another interesting chapter in the sugar production. A sugar cube in a cuppa coffee ain't bad at all.:)+5

All that cut cane in the open & next to the refinery must scent the air in a wonderful way. Love it!

I remember they use to burn the cane, then harvest them back to the mill. Excellent capture with the moon. Aloha

The local scene can be so different and still competitive. I grew up where sugar beets were grown and the sugar mill stank every fall as they were cooked.
