saw it in the contest and liked it a lot, surprised u didn't make the finals. only crit - the grass on the left looks a bit too spring green for me, not in harmony with the rest of the pic. the choice of trees is very good, as usual. is the background a plate?

Very nice, almost photo-real. Like all the small details such as the flight of birds. Can't put my finger on it, nothing huge mind you, but something about the waterfall looks out of place. I disagree with the above poster: Having lived in Texas, the grass color is QUITE appropriate for a patch that receives lots of ...um... "natural fertilizer" from cattle LOL. Great job!

An excellent image....I saw it on the contest website as well and if I remember correctly you mentioned doing a little postwork....honestly, that's the only reason you didn't get in because this is fabulous....Love the cows!

This is much better than several of the finalists. I also noticed you mentioning the postwork (probably many others did postwork, just weren't that honest). Anyway, this is a great image, very much in the excellent style and quality level that we have come used to expect from you. Excellent work!

WOW WOW WOW. THis is completely different from your usual masterpieces. This one really has a cold and chilly feel to it. I love the compo and it has a large open air feel to it. Outstanding work. 5
