Description

I thought this was a hover fly, hubby says its one of those pretend wasps, who knows? but we both agreed it was a good photo, which is not down to me as I just point and click lol! I called it 'First Taste' as the flower is a strawberry flower, he might be getting the first taste but we will get the last! ;o) Thanks for looking! Hope you are all having a wonderful weekend!! We call those fruit flies although im not 100% sure on that. We recently went camping and were absolutely pestered with them. just lucky they dont sting!! Awesome image you have captured :O)

Fantastic capture, beautiful lighting. Your husband is correct, it is a Hover Fly, they mimic wasps and don't sting, their larve are beneficial, they eat aphids and their eggs.
