Description

Hello, UPDATE: I think Homus_Artistic below was absolutely right. I could see what they mean by the character mixing too much with the background when I chose to do the sepia. I really wanted to keep the sepia tone - so blurred the background. I hope this looks better to y'all - it does to me, at least. :-) I'm very into fantasy and stuff right now, in my own imagination, which is kinda strange, since I'm a sci fi buff - not so much a fantasy buff. Still, dragons and warrior women are what's stirring my thoughts and creativity, image wize, so here is a picture of a warrior woman who is full of remorse, for failing a loved one. Can't remember where I got the woods background, unfortunately, but I made the hair from scratch. Outfit is Cyrene's by Rhiannon. Skin texture is Lulu, also by Rhiannon - and attached to Aiko 4 whom I tweaked to a custom character. I Photoshopped and used the adjustment layers, as well as the Virtual Photographer. Thanks for commenting on my previous picture. :-) Ciao, Gun aka redheadgrrl So, there you have it!

Nice image. I do not like the monochrome choice that much for this image because it mixes the character with the background. May be blurring the background a little will help...

Actually, I don't think its TOO difficult for SF fans to work into the fantasy realm. Both genres take the viewer/reader to a new controlled (and exciting!)environment where you can explore human emotions. This scene is a fine example of that too, great job!

Hey I'm into both scifi and fantasy - I think they share the same elements: great unique characters and strange and fantastic places. So it's cool to do both. :) (At least that's my excuse for doing both!) Love the expression on her face. You really captured the title and her emotion so well. Unique style to this picture too. Really nice work!

I like dragon renders too, although I don't have him in my runtime. Cool render and I like the style along with the tone used. Nice work once again!

Sorry sorry sorry I've been meaning to comment on this but one problem comes after other so I got really sidetracked, girl. I think the blurring of the background is doing better for the foreground - it 'ties' the two images together very well :) I think sepia tones are wonderful and yay you used the virtual photographer plugin!!!! :D The highlights in her hair, I may add, is a tad heavy-handed and too bright (considering its 'brighter' than the metal of the sword) and may benefit to some extra time on blending and smudging along with low opacity eraser BUT I gotta point out that sometimes you may not notice it due to different values set on our monitors (i.e. brightness, colour - whatever) that could cause us to miss this and notice the other. Heh heh - I love what you've done with the framing ... some parts of the girl is on top of the framing and some part is under - that is so cool! Despite the helm she has on - I think she is yummy grin cheekily :D Tina
