Description

Hey guys it has been forever since I have posted, but I have been doing some great work at college in geology. Ok, a quick tidbit on the image, the image you are looking is minerals that are about 10e-4 meters and smaller in size. The colors these minerals exhibit at this size from the refraction of light allow them to be identified. In this case it's salt, plagioclase and mish mash of silicate minerals. I know it is a little out of focus, but it is very hard to focus a camera on top of a microscope.

Great colors! I love microscopic photography, I've taken lots of shots of embryos and other biological thingies... nice shot!
