I saw this little girl watching the surfers at Saltburn, I thought she was beautiful.... Shot taken a while ago. Fred255's trip is going well, wish the weather was too... He has just gone out to Little Beck to get some shots. He edited and framed this shot for me before leaving. This child was safe, her parents are just out of shot. Perfect title. I can almost imagine her thinking that very thing..."When I grow up..." They grow up so fast, don't they? When I was a child I got so tired of hearing adults say, "She is getting so BIG" Like, what did they expect? Now I understand it. Before I can stop it that very expression comes out of my mouth. ~sigh~ To have those years again. Nostalgic and beautiful!

Wonderful image! I love the composition, with her in her little corner, gazing out into the wide expanse of the bay. I also like the differences between where she is standing, with the strong, regular lines of the boardwalk and railing, and where her gaze looks, the flowing water, crashing waves and movement of the surfers. Beautiful color and soft atmosphere! Lovely shot!
