I am a freelance internet consultant, now in his forties and living near Paris, France. I started being interested in 3d graphics in 1996 when I stumbled upon a nice program with a superb box: Bryce 2.1 for PC. I soon added Amapi, Poser and a series of other 3d apps to my toolset and produced most of my images.
In 2000, I started to get interested in photography, and purchased my first SLR camera. My interest slowly switched from 3d towards photography - first analog, then digital since 2002.
A few thousands of photographs later, I am starting to come back to my old hobby: 3d imaging, focusing on images that cannot be done with photography. My two passions are in fact complemental.
I run several websites among which:
Virtual Lands - my 3d website
France in Photos - my photography website. Travel, landscape and architecture photographs of France

Excellent depiction of the Vikings arriving on British soil. Tony.

Great picture though the point man seems to have been misinformed about our weather

Awesome! I love the ancient norther races! They knew better than to land on the northern shores of Briain. >=) (5)

Thanks for your comments. Forgot to mention that the clouds are from an atmosphere pack by Lightvue (http://www.lightvue.co.uk/). Maybe I should have chosen one of their bad weather skies :-)

Nice Scene. Great atmosphere and vegetation! Well done.

Terrain is amazing. Think the arrivals would have recieved a rather savage welcome though! Contrary to myth, many Vikings were slaughtered on the beaches by local patrols.

Excellent attention to detail!

This may be very much the way it was back then. I agree with the others, The Terrain is fantastic and looks so real. It is good that your Vikings are armed. There may be trouble ahead. You work here tells a story. Love it.
