Description
Another one in my black & white series.
A stop to clea some things up. The place where I shot all the B&W serie is Called Abu-Kir. It's the place of Napoleon's last battle with England in Alexandria. The place is not in itself historic at all, just a few things (I don't know what their names are). Actually, some of the poorest clesses live there now... There's a house in my collection, so you'll se it.
I mainly took all the shots to be transformed into B&W,so I wanna know what you all think :)
Love,
Nahla

Very strong contrasts and the arrangement is also bold and well done. A most excellent shot although it would be nice to see what the difference would be if you did this with your other camera.

I love the B&W, and as said, the contrasts in it. I see a nice triangle, formed by the lady, her shadow and the hoops on the wall. Very well done, Clive

Nice composition and textures, Nahla. I like the B&W with its starkness and softness combined. The tracks and shoeprints in the sand are just great. Yes, two of the three battles of Abukir / Aboukir were mentioned in my history lessons, back in c.1967... ;o) Napoleon vs British, and Nelson's Royal Navy ambsuhing French transports off Aboukir Bay. Being British History it failed to mention Napoleon's defeat of the Ottomans two years earlier, in 1799! You are getting good results from your 'second' camera. Perhaps the 'sick' one will feel aggrieved... ;o) Warm regards from a wet Glasgow, John.

I really like this arrangement. I like the way you show the girl's shadow. There is a depth here, and the B & W brings this out. You have an excellent image here.

the tonal range is very different from that of a dedicated camera but having said the image still has a great quality .the composition is the best part of this pic and thats what counts nahla :o) mick
