Description

Not a very popular butterfly the Large Cabbage White, due to it's ever hungry caterpillars that eat all the Brassicas in the garden. Luckily I got this photo just before he died! They don't swim too well and he fell into a bucket of water with all his pals.

That's the cheeky little blighter who ate all my broccoli leaves. Hrmph! They have until 2012 to improve on their swimming technikque. Smashing photograph though.

How can such a "beauty challenged" critter turn into something as stunning as a butterfly? Assuming, of course, that there isn't a bucket of water nearby. Terrific shot. JDoc
