I am no longer active here. Too many restrictions and unpleasant interactions with admin.
In addition I now focus on traditional art, which is very neglected on this site.

About my Art - Watercolor, Poser &Vue I have been painting mainly with transparent watercolor on paper. Most of my paintings depict hypothetical situations and imaginary scenes, striving to capture ideas and moods rather then a resemblance to specific places or people. On many occasions more than one way forward suggest themselves either from the onset or during the painting process. I like to explore these possibilities in different paintings and thus I have several ongoing themes (Some examples of themes I worked on are shown in the image above). I started useing Poser and then Vue mainly to set up virtual models and/or scenes which are then painted in watercolor. The CG images were supposed to be only an intermediate stage, but I now got the CG bug, and I'm trying to make these images a 'product ' on their own accord. Feedback is really very important to me. I appreciate any form of it: comments on the impact the images had on you (or saying it had none), things you enjoyed, things you hated, any artistic aspects - (composition, color, lights & shadows etc.) - any technical comments( eg Poser/Vue issues) and anything else you find relevant. If you dont know a lot (or at all) about Watercolors, Poser or Vue, please dont let it deter you from leaving a comment. Just comment on what you see and what it made you feel or think. You could also ask questions, and if I know how to answer - I will.

wow. the imagery in this is very powerful and universal. the gate, the mist, the veil between worlds, sleep, sky, the journey, the barge and even the bird are all common symbols in many cultures (some long gone) for this kind of loss and leaving. you've managed to bind so many symbols together, and yet you've created a composition that speaks powerfully through stark simplicity and the depiction of vast emptiness. your image is incredibly succinct and effective, as are your words. beautiful work, complex and strong sentiment.

Wonderful emotion, and great coloring to go with it.

My brother would have loved it. He died on the 18th of August from pneumonia in Germany. His body is making it's own journey back to the states on a Military plane. Not as graceful as your boat, but is sort of bird-shaped. Great tap into the universal human memory. You did good.

Wonderful poem and image. Love the POV. Very sad but magical.

Very powerful and very well done. The textures and colors are wonderful. Regarding the composition, personally I would prefer that the gate was not partially cropped out. There is also a pattern repetition on the top of the gate. But these are details, this is one very good work!

Love this. Everything. Composition, color scheme, POV, and the concept, of course. Though I think it´ll take me some time to try to decipher the relationship between some of the symbols involved. Hmmm. Anyway, I think what counts is the visual impact and the feelings that this image provokes.
