Ouch! Having stepped on my fair share of nasties in the sand I have cursed to the high heavens the idiots that leave this stuff around... that being said, this makes a lovely shot nonetheless! Better as a photo than a reason to visit the emergency room!

Yikes! I stepped on a few of these kinds of things when I was younger. Thankfully I learned to be a bit more careful about where I put my feet. This is a very striking photo, excellent contrasting textures between the corroding metal and the sand grains. Very cool!
