Description

*There is now a freebie download, and tutorial at the free section* *Update* *For people who downloaded the Fairy Sparkles textures and Tutorial in the freebie section, I no longer offer the freebie, but you may credit the texture to my homepage.* I saw a shimmering material effect, and wanted to create it for myself. Here is my experiment. ~Stacey~ Inspired by: http://www.3dcommune.com/3d/store/more_info.mv?P1200716106 And: http://www.renderosity.com/homepage.php?userid=60058 Credits: Character: http://www.renderosity.com/mod/freestuff/index.php?user_id=194973 Hair: http://www.renderosity.com/mod/bcs/index.php?ViewProduct=62883 Background: http://erendis-stock.deviantart.com/art/Some-green-stocks-II-7749448 I need to say something here... This is not stolen from Fabi's Turmaline! It was inspired. I keep thinking I will do a tutorial on how to do it my way, but I can't seem to find the time to write the tutorial. Keep checking though, I may get to it soon.

Wow, neat trick! I like it a lot. Did you do a gloss setting with an ambient specular in materials room? I think that would give this affect on a high res skin. Whatever. Wow, again, what a neat idea!!

Thanks! I did indeed do it with the materials room in poser. I'm thinking of making either a merchant pack or a freebie of the effect. I'm not good with making model textures yet, so it will probably be just the effect. ~Stacey~ P.S. Credits will be posted later.

I did it for Turmaline, she is at 3dcommune and in many images here :) You need to make smaller the spot's size if you want a glitter effect. But if you want wet look, then need to make it a less bright... anyway, is so fun to try those things that each one can get a different look... lovely face too!!!! fabi FKDesign

Yeah, that's where I saw the effect! I was about to buy Turmaline, but challenged myself to do the trick. I still like Turmaline's morphs and texture. You do awesome job! ~Stacey~
