The dwarfs kept expending their kingdom. They went deep into the mountains that reached further then the oldest and largest maps, no one new what the world looked like behind the mountains. They came to a new valley wich seemed te be habbited. A large and heavy rock door concealed a labyrinth of caves and some magical fear hang around the door. The baldest dwarf-warriors had to show that they were tough and in spite of their fear they entered, to their doom! They walked through rough and dark caves that seemed abandoned. But after a while, just when they started to loose their sense of direction they came to a part that carried warm, flickering torches on smooth walls. Long corridors of pillars went from room to room, beautifull welved arches above them. They had lost their fear but now they started to fear again because of some unknown atmosphere that was hanging thickly in the air. Cowerdly looking around, listening to some distand hisses they came close to some creature. They felt it was near but didn't see anything. At last a shadow crept over the wall, just behind a corner in a new room. The shape looked feminine but when she came around the corner they cried aloud in astonischment and fear. This woman didn't have any legs, but in stead she had a fat snakebody. Her hair seemed te be snakes that had a will of their own. Hissing and shaking they went mad. The dwarves couldn't move an inch because of some horror they felt. The medusa now raised slowly from near the cround and moving from the left to the right she raised up like a snake that wants to kill. Then she laughed crually and her yellow, catlike eyes went green. The dwarf that got loose of her mind raised his axe, but looked at her eyes... in a couple of seconds he turned from flesh to stone. Two other dwarfs could suddenly move and they started to raise their hands in front of their ayes but the second was turned to stone before he could do anything. The second hid his eyes for her but she crept near and he couldn't move, paralized by some magic spell. She wrapped her tail around him and pulled his wil-les hand away. He pushed back but his eyes had met hers and while he was turning to stone his stone arm broke of and felt dead to the ground. By the noise it made the last of the dwarf-worriors seemed te awake from the spell. Full of wrath and pain because of the loss he raised his axe... Just a bit of fun writing. Will he make it? That's up to you :) Crits are welcome here, redused the blur a lot, added snakehair from poser 4 rattlers, changed the rock-textures into real textures changed the point of view to show more detail of the stoned dwarfs
