Description

I didnt know baby elk had spots like fawns do To answer how I get so close to the animals ..... I found that going thru the National Parks like Jasper and Banff , Yoho ,Glacier, in British Columbia and Alberta which also go thru the highway across Canada ..they run right thru the parks ... .. that all the animals including Elk, Mountain Sheep and Bears are so used to people stopping by the side of the road to take photos of them ...that they dont run .... once you get outside the parks highway ..then they run away ..maybe they know in the parks that they are protected lol ... they seem less afraid but that doesnt mean that you can go close ....they are still extremely wild and will attack if you get too close .. I zoomed in on the baby elk .... I was still fairly close and mom was around also so I was careful

How on earth did you get so close! Normally elk run...they have a great nose and smell the slightest difference in the surroundings. Stunning shot.
