Description

Of the approximate 16 sunflowers I planted, this is the only one that survived the squirrels playing. I took this about 7 AM and it was light out but not enough when using the macro setting. But I rather liked the dark background that brought this title to mind. She will open and shine very soon! Thanks for looking and for previous comments!

Excellently done and yes I think the dark background is making it even more striking. Hope you will take a similar shot when it is open. :)

i`ve never had much success with sunflowers .they always end up puny specimens and nothing like the great giants you see :o)..personally i think the lighting does this more justice ,makes it stand out more mick
