Description
Nothing special about this. Just a simple portrait of a great aircraft doing its thing.

I disagree, it's a lovely crisp clear render. I find myself sometimes overdoing postwork to the point where it looks cluttered and have to start again.

Why are the wingtip floats down is it about to land on water? Just waking up my memory of a fairly big plastic kit I once built. I don't remember it as having any guns in the nose turret like this one. This is good closure.

Simply presented but very effective all the same.

I agree with Emil. I DISAGREE with your view on the picture. It's really well done and it doesn't always have to show 'World War III' to make a good render. This is great, Rob

Excellent image of a PBY. If I remember right this is a PBY Catalina 5A. Different versions of the plane had different options for guns. It also depends on what it was used for. Some 'Cats were for transport of officers and scouting ( one actually spotted the Bismark). Some were part of "Dumbo Drop" rescuing downed pilots. Those had boats under the wings to drop for them and the blister windows in the back to pull pilots out of the water. These were also sort of the first stealth plane. The "Black Cats" were painted completely flat black so they could fly at night with torpedoes under their wings to hunt Nazi U-boats. I have this model somewhere and seeing your great image makes me want to render it. Nice job!
