Description

Every now and then there's some weirdness going on out there at the Hollow. When the creek runs high, it works away at the roots of trees growing along it, and creates hollowed out areas underneath the trees, causing them to topple sometimes. It wears away at the roots creating some strange shapes. I saw this sort of clawed hand reaching out from among the roots of one tree, and wondered what it was trying to catch. The tree looked hungry, was it someting left over from times when magic was commonplace in the world? I kept the dogs away from it, just in case, (-: Thank you all for being so kind and understanding as I posted pictures of my angel, Gracie Anne. Thank you for all the wonderful comments, and the faves. Cropped, framed and initialed in PSP

remind me of the lord of the rings where the tree got hold of one and this man came along and sing a song to make the tree turn loose. real cool shot

Very spooky and well spotted. Very wise to keep the dogs away!!! I think it was in the middle of grabbing that other log when you came along so that they could have a tussle in the water. Did you look over your shoulder when you left?

last winter I visited a creek and you would not believe the very huge trees that was holding on as 3/4 of the soil was gone. I am talking 50-60 feet high trees does look eerie and maybe the source of weird notions about trees attacking

I am always impressed by this faculty of man to recognize and visualize elements of the human body in clouds or trees or rock formations....A striking and very beautiful capture, Rita.
