sweet maybe, but i see much deeper and darker underlying currents here. The age old story of the fight between the forces of good and evil. But also, the inner arguments of good and evil. Also, depicts just how cute evil can sometimes appear. On an artistic merit it is excellent, the little devil character is superb, for me i would have left out the birds, the wings and the devils tail, they are unnecessary clutter that detract from this fine 'high Renaissance' type painting

This does have a very Renaissance look. However, the FIRST thought that came to my mind was that this is a perfect representation of the duo-personality of the typical 2 year old! I love it!
