Description

Hello! In May there was an opening of the new show in the local Museum. I was there and they started with firering the cannon you see here. I have never heart anything so loud. Like the gound under us were shaking. I was shocked and I didnt like it at all. But look at it. What a beauty :) Inside they made big sails as a decoration. Il show that later :) All this was about the big ship Prinds Cristian Frederik. If your interested to see more about that, You can read it here http://www.navalhistory.dk/english/history/1801_1814/sjodde1808.htm The end of the story ended near the Harbour in my area. There is a monument about it on the grave yard of the Red Churth I have posted earlyer. Thanks for having a look and for your kind comments to yesterday. Special thanks to those who added it as their favorite. I am very glad you liked it. Have a lovely day. We have grey but peaceful rainy weather today. It has been raining nicely lately, so I have found interesting shots to take today, now everything is growing green again.

there's the history, which is educational and a lot of fun. (You captured some of the 'play' of these exhibits, with that soldier standing there looking like he's either having a great time play-acting, or just bored to death and ready to go home!) But then there's the collage itself: You created a kind of watery, oceany effect, with these bluish/grayish droplets all over the place, and a nice 'melt' from one image into another (the snare drum melts into the sail below it—great little effect!). Even the wheel, top left, seems mired in a rush of water...Above all, there's a unifying texture which makes it a good collage, no matter what it portrays. Lots of fun, historical too, and artistically fascinating to look at. And I love how you fade some edges—like the cannon's—into a grainy 'dissolve'. After all your intense macros and sweeping landscapes (and of course your many drawings & paintings), it's nice to see your collages made from pieces of your life. A lot of fun, and a good montage too.
