Someone was trying to tell my daughter, not too long ago, that he was from Scotland and knew for a fact that heather was an invasive, unwanted, unpleasant-smelling weed. I did not have a picture to show her he was wrong but now I do. How delightful this shot is. Tiny purple upturned bells that are just a joy to see.
