VERY nice so far. I love the details on the band and the stone. I wish I knew what causes those specular artifacts along the edges when tracing reflective/refractive surfaces in IFW. I don't remember it happening with IFA. The inside of the band is a little washed out or flat. Is that from Global illumination? Great model, nice work.

Thanx tsumo, never have figgered out what causes those either, tho they're not always present so i suspect attribute settings on my part. The inside of the band is overwhelmed with reflecting itself i suspect, and the global reflection i applied at render time. bobbystahr

Nice job but I think the stone itself needs some more 'fire'. maybe darker with more contrast and some sort of sparkle.

Nice work with the facets. I know it has to be difficult to get it just right. Keep up the good work. I agree with M3G, needs a bit more depth to the stone, but a very nice start.
