To all of my mother's Renderosity friends:
It saddens me to no end to tell you that my mother, Mina, passed on May 31st, from endometrial cancer. She is survived by my father, Roger, and myself. I apologize for not letting you all know sooner, but her passing has left me with a broken heart and it is very hard to write this, even now. I don't suppose there will ever come a time that it will be easier.
I know how much she loved you all, how much it meant to her to have met such wonderful people, and how much it meant to her to create & share her art with you. I am leaving her work here for a while, as tribute to her, her beauty, her talent & her love.

Dear Mina, what a beautiful picture have you uploaded !!! A fantastic creation, becaus in the clothes of the woman, I see at first...an elephant !!! You have the force of the elephant and the will of the girl magnetizes that you are. It cannot be a zombie which chose this table, but a kind of drawing exorcist to overcome your anguish!

A beautiful composition! What really grabs me, though, is the color. I just love that blue/green combo with the little hints of olive. (As a matter of fact, I have a dress that's exactly that blue/green/olive, and it's even a batik! There ya go ... who cares, but it jumped out at me!) I like the way the light and shadow patterns draw your eye around the image. Gorgeous work!

The zombies burn a bit when the nights have been spent in fear of the Mau-Mau for a time. Unfamiliar politics in a primitive culture sometiems seem like a mob. I formed a place in my mind for this then. Even voodoo cannot inspire the same awe.
