Description

Snow Leopard Solitary and secretive Creature of courage and survival When you reveal yourself So rare and precious In reality or in vision It is a message to Clear out the demons of the mind To embrace new life and new perceptions For you are the spirit of strength And the promise of the future. This beautiful snow leopard, Hercules, was brought to Big Cat Rescue so that the cycle of inbreeding could be controlled. Big Cat Rescue believes that no wild cat should ever be bred to live in a cage. However many are, and when the bloodlines become too inbred, the cats must be moved, to insure their survival. It is the goal of this wonderful organization to treat all the big cats with respect and caring, to give them a good life and protect their future, and to celebrate these precious gifts of nature. Oh wow......well you know how much I would like this being a cat lover....even wild cats. This is absolutely gorgeous and you have completely captured the spirit it's strength. Thanks so much for the link to the big cat rescue website. Quite a few mountains lions, who are such beautiful animals, get put down here in New Mexico because that have attacked someone of some pet which is just what they do ! I have wanted to encourage them to consider a rescue center but knew of none. Superb Carol. Beautiful and useful. HUGSSS

Just checked out the link and fabulous site ! there's hope yet for all the magnificent wild cats....watched a tv show last WE on Nat Geo that said there's more tigers in captivity than in the wild....that's pretty sad, but luckily there's so many caring people around that hopefully all our wonderful wild cats still have a chance to survive Snow leopards have always been one of my favorites and your image here is stunning Carol !
