Description

My wife spotted this in the garden yesterday. It settled hanging vertical in a shady pocket in dense Ivy. I could hardly see it in the viewfinder, so took loads of shots at differant settings and formats. I zoomed in as close as possible for this one with 55 - 200mm lens and extension tubes to allow close focusing. The surprise is it did not fly away after the first flash fired. Maybe it dazed it hitting those huge eyes!

I am flabbergasted, and late catching up here. He has eyes like honeycombes! How can something so delicate, even down to the little tiny hairs on this body -exist and survive, even for it's short life. Nature's gift of beauty. It is an incredible photograph.
