Description

This is what I believe is a green june beetle. My yard is infested with them. They are big and fly around in swarms which is very annoying. I decided I might as well make the best of it and get some pics. Best viewed FULL size Thanks for looking Have a good one Wendy

He's smiling at you! Actually, aren't these Japanese beetles? I had a lot of these when I lived in Virginia. I might have cropped just below his lower legs, but I also like the blur-out of the bottom of the shot. Great macro!

Oh la la ! nothing to crob, Wendy Such a good macro ! Brilliant in full size ( zoom into ) Maybe it's a " Diochrysa fastuosa" or a "Cetonia aurata" both they're lived for april to august, they like leaves, pollen and females lay in trunks ( old trunck they prefere) If that could give you happiness : that "beetle" was a god in Antique Egypt It simbolised the creativity and the sens of look-out Piet also posted a dark "scarabée" a week ago I posted also one in 2006 but less beauty than yours Amitiés q:) Magali
