Description

Just trying to extend my use of Modo a little by using part of Andy Brown's Concept Car tutorial. I'm no modeller at this stage, so it's just the bit about how to composite an object into a photographic background. I've cheated and used the Sedan car model from Daz for this and added V4 for a bit of extra interest and scale. The background image is via a camera projection and is not affected by camera settings (or I haven't found out how to affect it yet). However, the model perspective is, so getting the car where I wanted it in the image and with near enough the right perspective was 'fun' :) The paint job on the car is also based on Andy's tutorial. The image could probably do with a bit more work on anti-aliasing and on the car wheel arches, but that wasn't what I wanted to get into for this image. Main products used are: 1936 AM Sedan by Donald Sielke at Daz Concept Car Tutorial (Including background and environmental lighting images) by Andy Brown at Luxology Thanks for taking a look and for comments and favourites on recent images. Take care, Mike

Well, I'd say it turned out pretty darned great! It looks so real! You have blended the models into the background photo quite skillfully and the reflection and paintjob on the car is superb! Great overall job! Very impressive!

Looks very nice. There are some weird distortions of the background landscape in the in windows on the oposite side of the car.

Great work, the girl is a tad to dull in color and lightness though. All in all, excellent! Strata :)
