Description
Still re-reading the Dragonlance Chronicles, now on the final book of the trilogy 'Dragons of Spring Dawning'.
Raistlin drew a deep breath and continued. 'When I awoke,' the mage said, 'my skin had turned this colour - a mark of my suffering. My body and my health are irretrievably shattered. And my eyes! I see through hourglass pupils and therefore I see time - as it effects all things. Even as I look at you now, Tanis,' the mage whispered, 'I see you dying, slowly, by inches. And so I see every living thing.'
Raistlin is a mage and wears the red robes of the neutral mages. He gained immense power by passing magical tests at the Towers of High Sorcery but at great cost. He is frail and coughs violenty, his skin is a metallic golden colour and his eyes are golden with black hourglass pupils. Rasitlin, like all mages, must study his spellbooks often as all memory of the words required to cast his powerful spells slips from the mind after each casting.
Raistlin is the twin brother of Caramon who can be seen in my previous Dragonlance render here: Dragonlance Chronicles

Great one! I loved the books, actually they were my first fantasy ones... after the fairytales.

The books are great but I've always thought of Raistlin being almost as pale as an albino myself
