She led the kine into the alley behind the gothic club by the hand. Enticing him with seductive glances and coy smiles, hinting at the pleasures that awaited him, she drew him deeper into the darkness. He moved with her eagerly, the pounding of his heart echoing in her ears, feeding the hunger rapidly growing within her. The full moon was bright enough to light their path, yet the alley was dim enough to conceal the pair as she prepared to feed. She hesitated as a scent penetrated the gloom, musky tendrils of damp fur and sweat assailing her nostrils. She let forth a violent hiss, tossing her meal behind her like a spurned toy and turning to face the horror before her. She glared balefully into the bright eyes peering at her through the gloom as the creature before her let loose a low growl that almost sounded like a chuckle.
