Description

Rehearsal with Young Toni Harper
This image is dedicated to a wonderful and incredible friend, Ms Harper-Dunlap! Listening to the wonderful stories of how it was for a young black performer in the 50's to keep her focus at all times, no matter what was happening around you, once it became time to get up on that stage and perform, you did so and then some!Getting to the various arranged dates and auditoriums to only be given a few moments to rehearse, if that - and then, the show had to go on! Here's another one to you Toni - what a wonderful gift you have become as a friend and what an inspiration - you are treasured! =*=*=*=*=*=*= Story of this render This image is the 5th and successful attempt. It has been in my runtime for 4 weeks - and finally, it took 9 hours, 58 minutes and 42 seconds to complete! This time! It has been rendered in a different setting with a whole lot more content in it, that rendered for 6 hours and then crashed @ 25%! Second attempted, took some things out, tried it again, 7 hours, crashed at 45%! Third attempt - changed the setting, scene from one place onto the stage, and tried it, started rendering and then lost it as well after hours of rendering. 4th attempt, I took out more items, like the Clarinet musician who stood just off to the left from the pianist, tried it again, this render went for 23 hours, 59 minutes and 59 seconds before I could bare no more and stopped it. More content was holding it up, like a couple of glasses of water! Was too much reflection, refraction, and transparencies and my computer graphics card, once more, could not handle it - well - it might have, after 3 days perhaps... but I could not leave it anymore after 23 hours, 59 minutes and 59 second. What you see, is the final attempt - AFTER REMOVING - their glasses of water... lol ... sorry guys, have to rehearse with dry throats! LOL I also removed the reflection from the floor and from the silver panel of the guitar. Finally, success and 9 hours rendering! Phew! But I was determined to get this done no matter what!!! =*=*=*=*= Credits -=-=-=-=-= Daz Studio 2.3.3.37 PSP XI - a bit of postwork Lighting: Render Studio @ RDNA M3 X's 2 base and morphs V4 complete M3 hi-res texture for pianist Wyatt for M3 & David morph and texture for guitarist by GRFK DSGN Unlimited Hair: Daryl Hair By Neftis Mihai Hair by Neftis Natural Curls by 3D Celebrity Clothing: Guitarist - Wild West - M3 Cowboy Pianist - Pirate Shirt & Jeans for M3 Coco Lorel by Rhiannon - Texture ToniDunlap - Desert Summer for Coco Lorel Setting: Opera House free at Daz3d Piano: Music Pack @ Daz3d Guitar: ThundeRAxeZ by Thunderr's V4's texture for Toni - so sorry, can't remember! *sigh* -=-=-=-=- That's all folks for now! This is truly wonderful Mercedes and I know Toni is going to love this so much. You really captured the mood perfectly of her preparing.

Really super render. You probably should opt for a faster computer. Without the usual crash my renders usually take 3 or 4 minutes. The new dual core and quad core processors are fast. Poser is strange as it won't release memory. I get around this by saving the scene (with a diferent name) as I complete the work. Then I close the program (and maybe reboot) and open the last scene. I render imediately and there is fewer problems that way. Anyway, you do great work.

It's great even without the reflections and the musicians will have to drink when they are done performing. LOL. Hope their throats hold out. The whole pic is full of atmosphere and tells its own story. Wonderful work Mercedes! I can't use Daz studio any time soon as my graphics card just isn't up to it. I think it was worth the nine hours it took to render.

Brilliant scene - so well worth the troubles of rendering (it's terrible when your computer won't render what you want - it seems to be happening more and more to me too!) Detail is amazing, poses first class, lighting great - very well done!

A great detail-filled scene again Mrs M! Those reflections on the piano simply ROCK!! Oh, don't you HATE it when D|S crashes??? Happened to me numerous times this weekend.. awrgh!!! btw.. for killing a render after 23 hours, 59 minutes and 59 seconds your name must be MKeyes... ONE second.. just ONE second away from 24 hours.. how could ya!!! grins (A fixation on round numbers? Who, ME??? naaa..)

You my dear, dear friend are a Phenom. I witness the likes of your talent everyday. Now this! To see it come to fruition after knowing of the time you have spent creating it and the rendering, oh the rendering. It is absolutely Marvelous. I love your Toni, I love her guys and that piano and reflections. It is an Out Of Sight scene!!! Thank you for using my Desert Summer texture. She is gorgeous wearing it. I guess that you can tell, I am totally in love with is picture. It's a gasser. A Thousand Hugs...........

You claim over at RDNA you used Render Studio for Poser on this image but there is nothing listing it. You gave the link to this image but you don't list RSP or Poser only DAZ Studio. Which is it?
