Longgggg-standing interest in photography, first class in high school in the 60's, but was too expensive a hobby until my first digital camera about two years ago. Now I'm more prolific. :-D I am BRAND NEW to computers, so any advice on image enhancements probably should wait until I learn how to click, double-click, and drag...
I enjoy taking landscape shots and shots with a historical context, especially around Kittitas County, Washington.
The portraits in my icon and homepage image were taken last winter by the woman who is known here at Renderosity as PumaWalkingSoftly (aka Windchime Photography), thanks Laura!

Something about bagpipes makes me want to stand at attention; I've always loved them. Great capture!

thats some great range and I bet you can hear those pipes from that distance too. Nothing like listening to some really good pipe players.

We have a pipers group that plays at many of our official ceremonies. During the spring they gather under the redwood trees in Capitol Park and practice. The music is rich and haunting and it draws me close just as this shot does.

My daughter used to listen to a band called 'The Red Hot Chillie Peppers' I was listening on the radio last year and the jocky was talking on the phone to someone at Edinburgh Castle. I think it was another jocky on holiday, and he had just bought a CD, the band? 'The Red Hot Chilli Pipers'. See them here on You Tube : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OwrvHnYpwkk You have never seen pipers like these lads. Excellent capture, a pity there's no sound to go with the shot. Bravo!!!!!
