Hi, My name is Bill and I am updating my homepage to reflect a wonderful event in my life...marriage, September 18, 2010, to my best friend Tara...known to many of you as auntietk here on Renderosity.
We "met" shortly after I joined Renderosity in August 2008. We share a love for photography and indeed all types of art.
We live north of Seattle and enjoy getting to share photographic excursions and information with other Renderositians ( is "Renderositians" even a word? ). LOL
As for me, it seems like I've been taking pictures all my life but I didn't get serious enough to purchase my first Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR) camera until May 2008. In May 2009 I upgraded from an Olympus E-510 to an Olympus E-30 with a wide variety of lenses.
My subject areas of interest include absolutely everything but with a frequent return to airplanes, cars, tanks, etc., ...or as Tara says, machines that make lots of noise;-)
If you are curious, I am pictured above in a Grumman Corsair on a taxiway of the Kansas City Downtown Airport. I used to fly and train others to fly airplanes. That will explain my frequent forays into the world of aviation. Last but by no means least, thanks to Pannyhb for introducing me to Renderosity. The moment I saw it I was hooked.
Fine print: Yes, the photo above is a photo manipulation:-)

Suggestion for the sky to go blue - mask out the sky (google "layer masking" if you are unaware of this) and play with the colour... there are many ways to do this, but i suppose the simplest is a "Hue/Saturation" adjustment (Photoshop terminology there - but hopefully similar applies to whatever editing program you have). The other option is to use a Polarising filter when taking these sorts of photos, there wouldnt be as much glare from the sun on the planes and it would be slightly "clearer" as they tend to cut through the haze you can see present in this image... and the sky would be a deeper shade of blue to boot :) - although you loose some light and thus shutter speeds are slightly slower. Anyway as for the photo - very interesting and well captured :)

I think the color of the sky is the perfect back drop for these planes .. although a blue sky would look awesome as well. So, I wouldn't worry. Inshaala gave good advice (first comment) .. give that a whirl..... and good luck... and have fun! :)

Excellent shot! :)

Well the P-51 is no small plane, so that F-15 has got to be something else.Great photo bmac, and personaly I like the duller sky, brings up the planes nicely.

Leave it. That's how they flew on the day, so why change it. If its changed its not the 'actual event', if you understand where I'm coming from. As for the picture. Amazing photo! Immediate Fav! Bit like my 'Liberty Belle' photo. Where they don't look as if they were there! Like you placed them on top of each other.. Great shot, Rob.

Yes I really hadn't thought of or realized the size difference until seeing your photo. Awesome.
