Description

When Trent and David asked me to take "before" pictures of their new project house, I was careful to snap pictures of every nook and cranny, no matter how dull. I figured more was better. Just because they said, "Oh, we're not changing THAT!" doesn't mean they won't. (I've seen this movie before!) Some of the shots jumped out at me, and I've worked up a few of them to share. I hope to show you some of what I find wonderful about an old, empty house. I don't look at a place like this and imagine my furniture in it ... I look at it and marvel at its inherent beauty.

Yes, me too; it becomes a sculpture, which is likely what the designer felt about it long ago! Great capture of the beautiful flow-through, and I love that little step down...!

Wow! What a wonderful idea...........that said, I think of a blank canvas on which anything is possible, and 'knowing' Trent and David, is most likely to be exquisitely tasteful, luxurious, and a show-case for their older precious objets d.arts. This scene glows with well-cared for age, and quality wood and plaster work. Might you be persuaded to do a series, with each nook and cranny, room and corner, both before and after? (If so , I can hardly wait!)

This is going to be a very enjoyable series. I, too, hope to see some before and after shots because they have more decorating talent in their little fingers than I have had in a lifetime. When God passed out decorating ability and talent I can tell you I was standing behind the door and got none.

Fabulous. The long view is marvelous. Every time I move into a new house I always say I won't put furniture in it and ruin the mood. But I always fill it to the brim. :-)

Is this a house that they are going to move into Tara, or is this going to be part of their portfolio? I must say it looks quite nice to start with, looking at the window ahead it might possibly a South facing window. I can hardly wait for the project to get started. Excellent capture. Bravo!!!!!

I love the architecture lines on this one, already! How cool. I am always looking at old homes for sale, and wondering what it would take to get them fixed up to their former glory. This one looks like it is in reasonably good shape.
