Description

This is not my best render. I didn't know what to put for a background. I wanted to render something that has bothered me. I'm a Christian, and have been out of church for a long time. I even stopped posting at Christian message boards. It is interesting that my fellow Brothers and Sisters in Jesus are still not in unity. What does it matter who has more knowledge, more gifts of the Holy Spirit, and can sing the loudest? I call this Spiritual Pride. A pride that is not even ours to claim. ~Stacey~

Sounds like vanity. There is no such thing as a better christian, you either are, or arne't. Knowing whether you are or aren't is between you and God. The so called, better christian will always miss the glory bound train. I myself have stepped from the church due to such people, but that doesn't mean you can't keep striving. Keep the faith, and great render. It showes a real message. you shold do one of that better christian falling from their lofty little perch of self rightousness.

I agree with coyoteviper. If you've every watched the movie 'Devil's Advocate' with Al Pacino, at the end, he says, "Vanity, my favorite sin!" I have never had any truck with those who flaunt their christanity. I have found that those who flaunt it the most, are the ones who are the most insecure in their beliefs. My faith in God is mine! I do not push it onto anyone else and I expect them not to push theirs on me. enough said about that You did a great job with this render Keep up the good work and keep your faith!

When the Holy Spirit comes to dwell within us, He does give us gifts indeed. these gifts are meant to be used in service of the body of believers. All the gifts are different and none of them are more important than the other. All believers must come to the understanding that it is never about us and that we are not our own, we belong to Jesus and we are his bride. Disunity comes about when we forget this

You are absolutely right - God is the ultimate judge of all things. Christians shouldn't ask if others are "growing" - they should simply ask themselves if they have done enough for God. By definition, all people are sinners, all imperfect, and we all fall occasionally, only acceptance of Jesus' gift can save us. Churches / "Christians" that knowingly exclude or classify other people should think about what they are going to say when He puts His mighty finger in their face and asks them "Why?"

I won't let other people keep me out of the church. My Lord wants me to be in fellowship, so nobody will keep me away from the Body. As for the attitudes and behavior of others, that is between them and God. I walk in forgiveness- but pity them if they do not repent. I hope you find a place of fellowship because satan really wants us on our own: makes us easy targets!

Hahahaha! Oh boy, I remember when the person on top the pedestal was ME!! WOW, the irony of it! Calling myself a Christian, yet knowing that the Bible speaks constantly of humility... At one point I felt better about myself because of some self-contrived "righteousness". I judged others, and inwardly lauded myself. Wowww... your representations of the inward workings of humans are extremely poignant. I see my old self here! Thank you for this. God is still working on me. : )
