Description

This is NOT part of my regular series that I am presently working on. I just needed a reprieve while finishing up the next in the series *grin* I hope he doesn't scare too many people away! ~~~~ When the master was away from the castle he put the gamekeeper in charge of his menagerie However, in the lower levels, he neglected to mention, what resided there below A translation for the ancient runes or a lock spell would have sufficed What led the gamekeeper down that dark hall none to this day may know. An ill tempered Red Dragon resided there He hadn't been fed a decent meal for many a month or two And he was itching for a good fair game (if you could call him fair at all) Well, that gamekeeper was, was as good as lunch, when that doorway closed behind him, and once the gateway sealed there was nothing for him to do. A thud, a roar a muted snap then silence, once again Pervaded the dark, dank under keep and so it did remain Until the master, at last returned to find what his 'pet' had done Chastening the mighty beast he growled with unrivaled ire: "Now look what you've gone and done! I have to find a keeper again!" The Dragon shrugged and picked his teeth with a noncommittal snort Then turned, dissmissively, a massive shoulder to that ire The master stormed up to his study And penned up a draft for a gamekeepers hire. A lanky lad finally answered his ad In tow a ragged pony and wagon The master hired him promptly that day and added with stern warning: "When I am away, to the lower levels do not wander and whatever you hear or think I say...DON'T FEED THAT FREAKIN' DRAGON!" You know how much I love this image (I have it posted with the warning text on my own chamber door)! Very creepy dragon! The lighting work is superb! And now... you go and add this brilliant little story to go with it! It's a perfect match!

BOOOOO!!!!!! Feed the poor dragon!!!!!! Gamekeepers come cheap. Poor dragon he would not be so scary if you would throw a sacrificial virgin to him once a month. My dragons are all happy, except the one that had the virgin stuck in between his teeth. Great story and wonderful image. Excellent work with the lights. 5++++
