Magnificient. The tuffs of grass between the rocks, mounding up the sides of the steps, the uneven rocky and primitive look to the steps and that brilliant yellow bloom on the brush is wonderful. Your pov from the bottom takes in that lovely rise to the rear and who is that adorable young lady in the pink jacket? :-)

A cracking capture, Anthony. I see Sian is waiting for the 'oldies' to catch up... ;o) I love gorse ( or 'whin' as it is called in some parts of Ayrshire and in Northern Ireland ). As a boy I used to cut the whin bushes down using a 'bill' ( a long pole with an inline scythe blade attached ). It was a good workout as well. A a younger child I used a dye from the petals to cover boiled eggs at Easter, before decorating them. My gran showed me how. In late summer, on dry days, I would play hide and seek with my cousins and siblings, in a gorse-ridden field. Even in short trousers we would crawl under the spreading bushes, following the animal paths therein, oblivious to the occasional dried gorse spine that had not softened with age, and found its way into softer knee flesh.. a-a-i-i-o-o-w! Warm regards, and good wishes for your sustained and full recovery, my friend, John..
