Description

I was in London in March, wandering around St James'park and this very striking Guards' Memorial is in Horse Guards' Parade. Many of you must have seen it on visits to London. Worth another look...... Jean

Excellent capture of this memorial; I find myself wondering what caused the damages in the wall behind and above the statues.... nice work!

I did a little research on the memorial. it was designed by Gilbert Ledward in the years 1923-26 and commemorates the 1st battle of Ypres and other battles of WW1. Jean
