To all of my mother's Renderosity friends:
It saddens me to no end to tell you that my mother, Mina, passed on May 31st, from endometrial cancer. She is survived by my father, Roger, and myself. I apologize for not letting you all know sooner, but her passing has left me with a broken heart and it is very hard to write this, even now. I don't suppose there will ever come a time that it will be easier.
I know how much she loved you all, how much it meant to her to have met such wonderful people, and how much it meant to her to create & share her art with you. I am leaving her work here for a while, as tribute to her, her beauty, her talent & her love.

This is a carnival! It reminds me of the exuberant works of the 1920s, filled with newness and play and textures colliding...another glimpse from your artistic soul. It's really flush to the surface, intensely active, a confluence; but you also have layers (hey, a mina work without layers is unthinkable!) and they flow into each other, crash into each other, bump and push and dance into each other, a painter's crowd-scene. There's a palette here too: rich reds and earthen tones, with some greens and other hues too; and you have jazzy free-brush strokes like you channeled Pollock a few times. Exuberant, joyous, jazzy, wonderfully menacing and a real gathering! You never cease to amaze with your variety. Nekhbet Sun must mean "cornucopia"—I'll look it up, but I'm pretty sure... Good luck with the storms! May you all come out of them untouched!

It's your turn for the eye of the storm. This would make a nice table top, wall hanging and menu cover ensemble for a Victorian cafe in the Mother Lode country. No one would ever figure out how all those surface orientations could be a single flat. Once they realized it could see the conquest would be complete. I doesn't look flat dummy! It sees flat!
