very cool find and capture!! my husband mike is a high school teacher he just went to a back to school meeting where they told him shoes being high tied up on the line mean an area where they sell drugs i never knew that before i have always noticed it though and love shoes hanging like in the movie big fish .... great shot and postwork!!!

Up here, they say its not just to mark drug sales, its to indicate a certain gang in control of that area. Of course, drugs...gangs...pretty much the same message - keep your wits about you in those areas. I do like the casual way the sneakers hang and act like silent wind chimes in this shot. I have to wonder about the kids not in them...did they bring a spare pair just to do this with them or did they walk home in bare feet?

LOL, I don't know about any of the hidden meanings, I just know I saw this very thing just yesterday and it always cracks me up. We had spoon on our wires for years, course my son knew nothing about it!!! Great shot!!

Estupenda idea, desconozco su significado pero si lo he visto en alguna que otra pelicula cuando la policia entraba en areas conflictivas. Me encanta este trabajo ;O)
