Description

this was taken as the storm moves in on me. Ok lights was out; they on now but it still raining hard . my trailer is ok. i may have to go soon for I got to cook. My family comeing back from ark. lot of people come in soon backyard of my son house. note the sugar cane over the fence. will show what happens later on to the cane

Phew, you made it through! Good news that all is okay, no damage to your home, family all okay. My best bud in Baton Rouge made it okay too. They worried about an huge oak tree in their neighbor's yard, but it's still standing too. I'm glad Gustav fizzled enough that it didn't cause the havoc everyone was afraid it would. I hope the next ones coming through fizzle too.

YEs, your family coming home from up here and they got hit by Gustov anyway. We had 14 inches of rain and hundreds of thousands without power, including me :( NIce pick Buddy!!

Nice to hear you are safe and well Jocko, thats the main thing, both home and possessions can be replaced. Glad to hear that you don't have to replace anything though. Excellent capture, your son has too much grass in his yard, I hope he has a sit on mower to cut it all. I don't have any grass at all. I also hope there is not too much damage to the sugarcane, if that gets flattened the workers will feel it in their wages. Glad you and your family are safe. Bravo!!!!!

Very cool shot, Jock. I love rainbows. And i like your writing too. I tried to capture a full rainbow with my digital camera a few times too. But they are too big #:o) They wont fit into the picture. Very cool shot anyway, love it.+5
