Description

Hi folks. :^) Just a little manipulation I decided to try out. This pic was taken this past february, in the lobby of the Hotel Gansevoort, in the meat-packing district. If you ever visit Manhattan, ( and you don't mind a lot of partying till all hours of the night, lol ), then I highly recommend it. It's without a doubt, one of the coolest hotels in NY, and... ( and this is big ) the staff actually looks at you and cares if you're happy, lol. Okay, that's it for me. Thanks for looking and for the favorites on my last upload. That was very sweet of you. Till next time... Margana out. :^D Oh yeah. Please view full-size. This really should be uploaded huge but bla bla, whatever, lol.

yes! I lived near the meatpacking district back in the late 60s/early 70s, I know it's different now (!) but let's just say I'll tell you what we did for a very big fee and a signed affidavit that you'll never tell anyone ever...It's a great photograph, full of metalic & chrome-like hues, vivid as all get-out, and a perfect capture of that age and their look and milieu. Terrific expressions & postures, and it's terrrrific full-size. As a photographer-friend once said, "did you get the photo in this moment?" You got it—boom! Terrific. (ps—a few blocks from where this was taken, Andy Warhol drew on my shirt. He didn't know me, he just liked my shirt. As someone said, "it's NY buddy, get used to it!")

NYH, it looks like you were still in the party mode when you did the post work on this one. lol. This is really a great piece of postwork. Could you give us a hint on some of the filters you used? The real question is, do you remember what you did and can you duplicate the process? =) Just kidding ...I really do like the metalic look you created. Nice bit of work Marlene
